When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C. |

background: The protein encoded by this gene appears to be a zinc finger protein containing a transposase domain at the C-terminus. This protein was found to interact with the transcription factor SP1 in a yeast two-hybrid system. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been observed. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2010] Function: Plays a role in mitotic cell cycle progression and is involved in kinetochore assembly and mitotic sister chromatid cohesion. Probably through its association with CBX5 plays a role in mitotic chromosome segregation by regulating aurora kinase B/AURKB activation and AURKB and CBX5 dissociation from chromosome arms. Subcellular Location: Nucleus. Chromosome. Cytoplasm. According to some authors, it is not localized to mitotic chromatin (PubMed:19244240). Recruited to trimethylated 'Lys-9' of histone H3. Similarity: Contains 9 C2H2-type zinc fingers. Contains 1 DDE domain. Contains 1 HTH CENPB-type DNA-binding domain.
