When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C. |

background: GABA is the major inhibitory neurotransmitter in the mammalian brain where it acts at GABA receptors, which are ligand-gated chloride channels. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the rho subunit family and is a component of the GABA receptor complex. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008] Function: GABA is the major inhibitory neurotransmitter in the vertebrate brain and mediates neuronal inhibition by binding to the gaba/benzodiazepine receptors and opening an integral chloride channel. GABRR2 is a member of the rho subunit family of GABA receptors and could play a role in retinal neurotransmission. Subunit: Generally pentameric. There are five types of GABA(A) receptor chains: alpha, beta, gamma, delta, and rho. Interacts with SQSTM1 Subcellular Location: Cell junction > synapse > postsynaptic cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
